This page contains the Terms and Conditions for your use of our website and our Policies which we uphold when providing our service. Privacy Policy Shoe Lagoon Ltd values its customer privacy and when using our site please rest assured that we will not disclose your name, address, email address or telephone number to any third parties unless we have informed you, been authorised by you, or are required to do so by law, subject to the Data Protection Act 1998. When you place and order with us, we will require your name, e-mail address, credit / debit card number, card expiry date and a contact number. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order. Your contact number is only required in case we need to call you urgently in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your order. This may also be passed on to our courier company in case they need to contact you to arrange the delivery or your order. If you do not wish this information to be passed on please contact us. Shoe Lagoon follows the tight security procedures to protect the information that we keep about you from unauthorised access. We use a type of software that encrypts all the information you input before it reaches us. This minimises the risk of it being intercepted beforehand. Within Shoe Lagoon we only allow access to your data to those in our company who need access for the performance of their job. We always use log in and passwords for our systems and our staff are required to sign confidentiality clauses to work with us. If you ever need to review update or delete the information stored about you on our files by law you can contact us and we will provide details all the information we have on you. You can also check it online when you sign into ‘my account’ section. Delivery Policy All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change and we cannot accept liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) for delivery at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.
If you have placed a large order which has part coming at a later date we always despatch the goods available, the rest will be sent to you at a later date at no extra cost. During the busy periods like Christmas or Easter we will advise you if there are likely to be any small delays. If your delivery is outside the UK Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.
There are four types of delivery options on our website
Returns information
We want you to be happy with your Shoe Lagoon goods, however we realise that on some occasions you may need to return them. Providing your goods are complete and in perfect condition, unworn, unused and still in their original packing we will be happy to offer a refund or exchange this will be made to the original purchaser only.
To return goods you can fill in the return form which always arrives with your order and attach this with your items. Please complete this form as fully as possible giving us as much detail as you can, these comments are very useful to us.
Contact us within 14 days so that we can send you a returns bag. When this arrives place the items you are returning inside with the returns form and then send the items back to us by normal post. This will be Free of charge if you are in the UK. You are advised to obtain a free ‘Certificate of Posting’ from the Post Office when you send the parcel back. We cannot be held responsible for parcels lost in transit.
We do not refund any postage costs unless the item returned is faulty. If exchanging goods and the new item you require costs less than the one you have returned we will refund you the difference and if it costs more we will require an additional payment.
When we receive the items back we will then refund your account. If you have requested a replacement delivery, you will receive email confirmation once your replacement has been processed and dispatched.
Cancellations
You may normally cancel your order (once accepted by us) for any reason up to the point of despatch. If you do not cancel the contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days Product Descriptions Every care has been taken to ensure that the description and specification of each shoe on our website is correct. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you. Use of Cookies From time to time this website may use Cookies. This is normal practice and many websites use them to determine your browser and user preferences. They do not contact any personal information about you. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies however if you prefer you should be able to set your browser so it does not accept cookies and still use our site. Consent Your use of this website signifies your consent to the collection, processing and use of personal information by us for the purpose of administering and dealing with your order or account, market research, processing your payments, credit reference checking and fraud detection, and for marketing purposes as outlined above. Any changes to our privacy policy will be posted on this site so that you may ensure that you are fully informed of your rights and can notify us of any changes to your preferences. We do track the visits that people make to our site so that we can see which pages are the most and least visited. This allows us to make informed changes to the website which enhances your experience. However we have no idea of who you are or any of your personal details as all the tracking is anonymous. We keep track of how many people use this website and which sections are most popular – this is so we can improve the service we offer and make sure that all parts of the site are working. |
